  10. There is a new GHSTUTIL.WAX file online. Several users reported that a 
  11. bug I thought was fixed, was not. This can result in values in the 
  12. [Start Up] section of GHOST.USR becoming negative, and messing things 
  13. up. This GHSTUTIL really does fix the "bug". <GG>
  14.  
  15. File is GHSTUTIL.ZIP, if that is all you need. It is also included in 
  16. the files GHOST110.ZIP, and GHST11UP.ZIP, for those wanting the full 
  17. package or upgrade files.

  23. GHOST BBS v.1.10 is now on line for downloading. It contains a couple 
  24. of new features (e.g. default transfer protocol settings), and some 
  25. changes in messaging to accomodate foreign keyboards, but most of the 
  26. improvements in 1.10 ar at a lower level.

  28. GHOST 1.10 offers greater reliablity, with improved handling of lost 
  29. carriers during connections, improved recycling, and smoother 
  30. operation, amongst other low level improvements. A list of changes is 
  31. included in the file WHATSNEW.TXT included in the ZIP.

  33. To get GHOST 1.10, download file GHOST110.ZIP, if you are a first time 
  34. GHOST user, or GHST11UP.ZIP if you are upgrading from GHOST 1.00.

  40. PKZIP version 2.04e has been released and can be found on line here. It 
  41. is necessary if you download any files from Gregg's Place, since they 
  42. have all been converted to 2.04 format, and PKZIP 1.10 will not unZIP 
  43. them. PKZIP 2.04e is much faster, has far more options, compresses 
  44. better, and works very nicely. I think that you'll soon see all of your 
  45. favourite BBS change to 2.04e format, as it can save them storage space 
  46. for the ZIP files. Version 2.04e will unZIP any 1.10 ZIP file, so there 
  47. is no concern for backwards compatability for your older ZIP's.

  49. Because of the conversion to v.2.04e format, all ZIP files on line here 
  50. now show a date of 01/07/93, rather than their original dates. The 
  51. files have not changed, only the ZIP format.

  57. Put a maintenance update to PCB Freedom 1.00 (1.00a) on line. Fixed the 
  58. ERROR 4 problem, and also a "sometimes" bug which resulted in an 
  59. incorrect password being sent on occasion, on faster systems, with high 
  60. speed modems.

  62. Also added a couple of new prompts which should result in being able to 
  63. use PCB Freedom on ProLogon systems running one of the supported mail 
  64. doors (if you use a ProLogon system, and there is a prompt which I have 
  65. not accounted for, please let me know.)
